Amaris Lundeamaris
Community Programs Director, Cowboy Boots with Duct Tape, Contagious Smile

Amaris serves as Growing Washington’s Community Programs Director, and the only two things that are greater than the size of her heart and smile are the holes in the bottom of her boots and her ability to work with community partners to create meaningful, tangible and lasting change for those that she serves. A Montana girl with a European flair, Amaris has the unique ability of getting dirty and still making it look stylish. She is the foundation of several of Growing Washington’s community projects, taking a leadership role in our Just Food community CSA project, our Growing Whatcom CSA, and our Farm to School project. She also serves as the manager of the The Food Bank Farm, helps to coordinate our Whatcom restaurant and grocer relations, works closely with our farming coalition, and has been instrumental in the day to day needs and tasks facing Growing Washington.

While most would consider the on-the-ground efforts of Amaris impressive enough, she also possesses a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Western Washington University and is a big fan of goats.
