You will quickly notice that Growing Washington is an unusual non-profit organization. While we certainly have identified programs and projects that we see as vital to the future of Washington , we also have identified and responded to the need for a community-based organization to represent the citizens of our state by offering on-the-ground assistance and advocacy. Much of what Growing Washington does is guided by what the citizens of Washington want. Rather than tell Washingtonians what is important and what they should care about, we view what Washingtonians want as important, and empowering individuals and groups to take action is what we care about-that is our special interest.

Growing Washington focuses on projects that are self-sustaining, non-discriminatory, community building, and fun.
