Vincent Felice
The Life Force and Work Horse,
Authentic Farmer, MVP
vincent@growingwashington.org
Vincent hails from the South Sound area and grew up in Port Orchard, WA. He currently co-manages Growing Washington’s farm at 21 Acres, runs several farmers markets, manages the King County Local Choice Food Box CSA, does much of Growing Washington’s public relations duties, created the Authentic Soup stand (and serves as executive chef), has strong ties to our restaurant program, manages several employees and our projects centered in King and Snohomish Counties, and has personally recruited, managed, and connected with more volunteers and farmers than anyone else on our team. He puts in as many hours as any producer in Washington and embodies the energy that allows Growing Washington to operate as it does.
Growing Washington would not exist in its current capacity had not Vincent been Clayton’s neighbor at the Ballard Farmers Market so many years ago (or had not Vincent been so intriguing as the farmer with the great laugh, the wild hair, the baby blue velvet jumpsuit and the electric pink wristwatch). As soon as Vincent and his incredible energy jumped on board the organization has never looked back. Whether he is making you laugh or cry, Vincent’s energy and charisma is powerful and memorable. Although he didn’t receive any awards, per say, Vincent edged out stiff competition to be Growing Washington’s official unofficial Most Valuable Person in 2007/2008. |
