Our Farms
Growing Washington, the non-profit which operates The Local Choice Food Box, operates two farms while grow the majority of the vegetables you will find in your box.

The Food Box Farm at the South 47
Our boxes are packed at our Food Box farm located near Redmond. The farm land, called The South 47, is home to two restauranteurs who grow food there, a flower farmer, and Dr. Maze's pumpkin patch and corn maze.

The South 47 sits in the heart of the Sammamish Valley along the Sammamish River and the Sammammish River Trail. It is one of the few remaining farms in what was once one of the most productive agricultural valleys in the US.

We grow carrots, beets, onions, summer and winter squash, head lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, basil, fennel, potatoes, corn, peppers, chard, kale, tomatillos, flowers at the Food Box farm.

Alm Hill Gardens
Most of what we don't grow at the Food Box farm comes from Growing Washington's main farm, Alm Hill Gardens. Located in Everson, WA near Bellingham, Alm Hill is one of the oldest and best organic farms in Washington State. They provide the Local Choice Food Box with their famous raspberries and blueberries, years of farming expertise and some of the finest vegetables you will ever eat.
